Introducing Smartini Cocktail Mixers – the Smart Way to Enjoy a Cocktail

Colleyville, TX (PRWEB) July 26, 2011

Smartini™ Cocktail Mixers, a line of sugar free, low calorie, low carb, and gluten-free cocktail mixers, were born in a suburb of Dallas, Texas and are fast becoming the smart choice for fit-conscious social drinkers. Smartini went into production in October of 2010 and is quickly making its way into bars, restaurants and package stores around the United States. Smartini is a product of Texas-based Lola’s Libations.

Unlike many other low-calorie cocktail mixers, consumers do not have to sacrifice delicious aromas and flavors when they choose Smartini. After countless in-store taste tests, Smartini is the apparent choice in satisfying the palettes of all who have tried any one of the Smartini flavors.

Smartini offers a wide variety of mixers to create the cocktails that are most in demand. Mixers include: Margarita, Lemon Drop, Mojito, Sweet Texas Tea, Pomegranate, Green Apple, and Caliente Texas-tini plus two base mixers: Sweet & Sour and Simple Syrup.

At only 1¼ calories per ounce, Smartini is the best tasting, guilt-free cocktail mixer option. Naturally sweetened with Stevia, cocktails made with Smartini mixers contain less than 100 calories per drink (with 80 to 90 of those calories being derived from the alcohol). A good example of this is found by comparing a traditional (non-sugar free) margarita to a Smartini Margarita. A traditional margarita packs a whopping 450+ calories whereas the same size Smartini margarita has around 96 calories.

Leigh Ann Rodriguez, the creator of these delicious mixers and founder of Lola’s Libations, began a diet which ultimately resulted in a 55 pound weight loss. Her weight loss program restricted carbohydrate intake, however, the program did not completely restrict drinking alcohol. This was the perfect excuse to concoct Smartini! Leigh Ann’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and she began to think seriously how she could help others in the same predicament in which she had found herself: wanting to succeed on her weight loss program without feeling as though she was cheating with every sip.

“My kitchen was my first test tasting lab. I experimented with the help of family and friends until I felt certain that every sip offered the most robust and flavorful experience,” explains Leigh Ann. “I want to share my creations with others and let them know that cheating on their diets does not have to be detrimental to their success of losing weight. Cheating can be fun.”

Lola’s Libations is committed to helping nonprofit organizations that promote well-being. Currently, with every bottle of Smartini Cocktail Mixer sold, a donation is made to fund research for Ovarian Cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease.

In this video, I am going to show you how to apply a sheet mask and explain how it can give you smooth and beautiful skin. Sheet mask is a soft and very thin piece of cloth containing different types of skin nutrients. They are very different from other types of masks. With sheet mask, the skin nourishments are broken down into nano or one billionth of a part. Since the nutrients are extremely small, your skin can easily take in the minerals and give you a smooth and beautiful complexion. A sheet mask is conveniently is made to fit your face, leaving your nostrils, mouth, and eyes opened. They are great for your skin and have the same result as going to a professional spa. Before we apply the mask, we need to exfoliate the skin to get rid of dead skin cells. Exfoliation is done only once a week. Here I am using an organic pomegranate peeling gel by Organic Zone. Only using about a quarter size portion of the gel, massage your skin in a circular motion, until you covered your entire face and the neck. Avoid the gel around your eye area. It is time to apply the mask. Here I am using a Deep Sea Extracting Mask by TT Mask from Taiwan. This is a hydration sheet mask suitable for all skin types. After you remove the mask from its protective pouch, peel off the protective plastic layer and discard. Apply the same side of the sheet mask that was facing the protective plastic layer onto your face. Gently smooth the mask so that it conforms to your face and remove all air pockets

Healthier Shine and Colour with Organic Lipsticks

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

While it may be true that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, it remains undoubtedly important to every woman. Although not all women love to wear heavy make-up, adding lip colour seems to be the simplest thing to bring out one’s beauty. Beauty experts even say that a little lip shine and lip colour spell the difference.

The transformation of cosmetics from the traditionally inorganic to the all natural, organic ingredients is no longer new. Every known makeup has been organic – from foundations to blush-ons, bronzers and eye shadows or palettes. However, a lipstick made up of organic ingredients is a different story. Unlike other cosmetics which are applied relatively distant from the mouth, lipsticks, when applied, are only millimetres away from the digestive tract opening. It is said that every woman ingests up to four pounds of lipstick and gloss over a lifetime. With this in mind, organic lipsticks really are more than just beauty, but about health as well.

Just as the term suggests, an organic lipstick is one hundred percent organic, thus also a hundred percent safe to the body. By seeing through each ingredient, organic lipsticks really are more beneficial than chemically-dyed lipsticks in many ways.

Organic oils are essential in organic lipsticks. They are responsible for moisturizing, conditioning and protecting the lips from various harmful elements. Therefore, aside from a lip-gloss shine, organic lipsticks also moisturize the lips better and even longer for perfect and better lips. Organic jojoba seed oil, for example, contains fatty acids which oxidize the skin, thus preventing the lips from drying and chapping.

Wild crafted candilla wax, another ingredient of an organic lipstick, also moisturizes and gives long lasting lip protection.

While organic oils are responsible for beautifully moisturizing and giving the lips a healthy shine, organic extracts and vitamins nourish and revitalize the lips. These organic extracts include organic beeswax (or cera alba), organic grape seed (or vitis vinifera), and organic pomegranate (or punica granatum). Organic pomegranate, for example, is rich in potassium and citric acid (vitamin C). Potassium helps the skin to regenerate new, healthier cells, while citric acid refreshes the skin.

Significantly, an organic lipstick also contains Vitamin E or tocopherol acetate, one of the most powerful antioxidants known. Taking into consideration the sensitivity of the lips, infusing an organic lipstick with Vitamin E will is important for protection from ultraviolet rays, as well as from dusts, drugs and other elements that produce free radicals which are harmful to the body.

On the other hand, iron oxides are primarily responsible for richer and long lasting lip colours. A hundred percent natural and toxic free, iron oxides produce richer colour than traditional and chemically-dyed lipsticks. Moreover, it is naturally weather resistant; thus it will not easily wear off when exposed to outdoor climates, particularly during warm or humid weathers.

Finally, skin sensitivity is not an issue when using organic lipsticks. Organic lipsticks contain mica and titanium dioxide which are proven to be one hundred percent hypo-allergenic.

Afterglow Cosmetics offers a complete line of natural cosmetics and organic infused cosmetics including organic lipstick, Organic Setting Powder, Organic Glow Bronzer and mineral lipstick.
